Tongue scraping, self-massage, dry brushing, among others, are rituals that enrich our daily routine. However, today, I would like to particularly highlight the practice of face yoga.

The approach to Face Yoga can be tailored based on your predominant dosha in the Ayurvedic system (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha). Each dosha has distinct characteristics, and integrating facial yoga can help balance these specific energies.

In Ayurvedic tradition, the choice of oils is often based on the balance of specific doshas. Each dosha has its own characteristics, and the use of suitable oils can help maintain this balance.

Here are general recommendations for choosing oils based on each dosha:

Face Yoga For Vata

  • Skin Characteristics: Dry, fine, prone to wrinkles.
  • Recommended Oils:
    • Sesame Oil: Nourishing and warming, helps balance the dryness of the skin.
    • Sweet Almond Oil: Soothing and light, suitable for Vata’s thin and delicate skin.

Face Yoga For Pitta
